Neil MacPherson RSA a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art in the early 80’s, Neil MacPherson certainly uses the colourful flamboyance associated with that background, but a flamboyance that is tempered by the quiet spirituality of the figures in his work. Bound somewhere between religion and imagination, these figures and animals stand in lonely, dream-like landscapes with undulating furrowed hills and little vegetation.
